Applications for automated production and assembly

The two key benefits of automated production for LFDs are consistent product quality and cost-effective, high volume manufacture.   Forsite can deliver these attributes to developers and manufacturers in a variety of ways.

For LFD developers:
Validation batches – we can spray reagents for validation and reference batches to ensure tests of consistent quality are used at this important stage.  These can be assembled into dipsticks or housed devices as required.  Having validation batches manufactured on full scale equipment means that the transition to mass production is seamless.

Market launch batches – because of our flexibility in manufacture, we can produce batches of any size from 5000 upwards.  We can reduce your  financial risk by spraying membranes and storing in a desiccated atmosphere until you are ready for more to be assembled.

Transferring ELISA to LFD – to meet changing market needs, you may wish to convert an existing ELISA assay to LFD.  Using your reagents we can carry out the technology transfer and move to automated assembly.

For existing LFD manufacturers:
Capacity scheduling – we can add to your capacity on an as-needed basis.  Spraying, laminating and assembly are all possible on our equipment.  Some technology transfer to our machinery will be required.

New test production  - for manufacturers who require capacity for new tests, or who do not wish to mix different tests in their production facility, we can take on the contract manufacture.

Whether you require full production, or part processing of any part of an LFD, we have the equipment and capability to provide you with a high quality, efficient and flexible service.
